The Monk Xuanzang's Journey to the West

Xuanzang traveled west to obtain scriptures. The Tang Dynasty monk Xuanzang traveled through Central Asia to India to study Buddhism, bringing back a large number of Buddhist scriptures, and his experiences were written as “Journey to the West”. This is where the character of Sun Wukong in Journey to the West, one of the Four Great Masterpieces, is based.
