Ethnic
China is a multi-ethnic country with 56 ethnic groups. The Han ethnic group is the largest and the main ethnic group, accounting for more than 90% of China's total population. It is also one of the most populous ethnic groups in the world. The Chinese culture and Chinese faces that people are familiar with are mostly from the Han ethnic group. However, there are another 55 ethnic minorities in China. Each ethnic group has its unique culture and traditions. Here are some distinctive ethnic minorities in China:
The Mongolian ethnic group
It is famous for its grassland culture and nomadic life, mainly distributed in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. The Mongolian ethnic group is an important ethnic minority in China and also a well-known nomadic ethnic group in the world. Its distribution is wide. Besides China and Mongolia, there are also many Mongolians in Russia, Central Asia and other places.
